This is an interesting and top heavy category. UGK, TI and nobodyknows+ look to be the ones to beat but Game had a pretty good year with three Top three videos. Kanye had the biggest year album-wise while Common, Young Jeezy and Daddy Yankee all did their parts to save hip hop. Because of that, this is a tight category.

FINALLY! An excuse to nominate Back-On! I LOVED “Chain” from Air Gear but it came out in 2006 so this is kind of a fix for that. Takahashi Hitomi had a kick ass song for Toward the Terra and I like a lot of Nami Tamaki’s work. She came close to a Best Dance Video nomination for this video, too.

Little known fact: Eddie Money was comprised solely of Strawberry shake. Look out for my bishie Zac Efron!

All these videos went to number one except two (May J. and NaNa) and May J. is second all time for the longest running video and NaNa is currently number two on the Countdown. Even though Yui, Alicia, Nelly and Namie were at the top the longest don’t count anyone out! This is about the awesomeness of the video, not the length on the Countdown. With that being said, look out for Yuna! I love her so.

As Jen and Rick can tell you, I was all about some “Say It Right” even though…I didn’t know the damn words. Also look out for Alicia Keys because…she is fricking hot.
