Cold Blooded! Ain't No Dictionary Book...

Happy Friday, peeps! I’m snowed in for the most part (I may run out if it clears up a little later) which works out because it is time for…

CHACHI’S TOP 20 COUNTDOWN!

It is the final Top 20 of 2006, everyone. Its been a sweet four months of doing this (I see a spike of like…three viewers every Friday because of it!) and I thank you for your support and input. Let’s get this party started! Can I get a laffy-taffy?! How about no…

20. Koda Kumi – Twinkle [New Entry]

I am officially in love with Ms. Koda again. This song is good J-Poppy fun. Not only that, not one instance of bottle assault. Kind of a downer I will admit. Even still, its good stuff. The English version on her Black Cherry album takes a little getting used to IMHO.
19. Bowling For Soup – High School Never Ends (Last Week #15)
High school may never end, but Bowling For Soup’s run on the Countdown is pretty much over. This is no reflection on the moral of the song. That shit is damn true.
18. T.I. feat Young Jeezy, Young Dro, Big Kuntry, & B.G. – Top Back (Remix) [New Entry)

Yeah, this was bound to happen. After listening to this song it is the most pointless, arrogant song I have ever heard. Yet…I can’t stop listening to it. You can’t beat having Jeezy, Dro and TIP in the same spot at the same time.
17. Omarion – Ice Box (Last Week #19)
Okay, peeps. I hope you are sitting down. I have the greatest news to ever be told. Omarion and Bi made a song together. I will wait while you gather yourselves. Okay, can you believe that?! It will be the greatest song composed by man! Bi is ALSO RELEASING AN ENGLISH ALBUM THIS SPRING (rumored)!! Dare I say, 2007 will be ‘teh awesome’.
16. Soul’d Out – Starlight Destiny (Last Week # 9, Plunge of the Week)
Well, Diggy Mo and crew are falling very quickly. On a good note, they released a greatest hits album (which this song is on). I forgot how many good songs Soul’d Out made, and not just ‘To All Tha Dreamers’. I still like ‘Dream Drive’ to this day. Hopefully they will drop something new on us pretty soon.
15. Nas – Hip Hop Is Dead (Last Week #17)
Nasty Nas moves up two more spots this week. After releasing this he has kept a rather low profile. I haven’t seen him much on TV and I haven’t found his album yet. Keep in mind I haven’t been able to go many places (Mainly because of this fucking blizzard, more on that later).
14. Pushim, RHYMESTER, HOME MADE KAZOKU, MABOROSHI, May J – I Say Yeah (Last Week #13)
So I FINALLY got this single the other day and a lot of the remixes sound a lot better than the original. I am still digging this song, as proven by it hanging on for another week.
13. May J feat. VERBAL – Here We Go (Last Week #16)

Got May J’s discography. All three singles. Yeah, she’s a newcomer for the most part. Also, just found out she is 19 which is great because I could NOT afford another Hinoi Team situation. May J moves up three more spots and is eying the Top 10. Yes, I know I have this video on every week but look at her. It’s for the male demographic. I have Bi on for the female demographic. I’m fair!
12. John Legend – Save Room (Last Week #11, #1 for five weeks)
Man, this song has been on here for a while. All I can say is that it is good stuff. Could John Legend be the Artist of the Year? Maybe…
11. Yui – Rolling Star (Last Week #14)
Yui is doing well for her first entry onto the Countdown, knocking on the door of the Top 10. I need someone to correct me on this if I’m wrong but is Yui an indie artist? I keep on hearing that and it just seems weird to have an indie artist with two themes for one of the biggest animes on Japanese TV. Just curious. We have made it to the final Top 10 of 2006, peeps! We start off with a lady on the downswing…
10. Nelly Furtado – Maneater (Last Week #7)
My future wife (one of seven) falls three spots this week after two months in the top half. I have to say that now that I watch this video all the time, the is quite the lady. She learned how to dance, to boot. I know that means nothing about nothing, but man she can move a little bit.
9. Young Jeezy – I Love It (Last Week #12)

The Snowman Cometh! To go along with this blizzard, Jeezy moves into the Top 10 for the first time! This video is…just like any other rap video but at least it has a good song behind it.
8. Justin Timberlake feat. T.I. – My Love (Last Week # 5)
After not being able to wrestle the top spot away from UVERworld, Justin and T.I. continue their descent down the chart. T.I. has made his return earlier and reports are that Justin is working on a new video soon! Can life get any better?
7. RBD (Rebelde) – Ser o Parecer (Last Week #10)
Yes. Yes it can. RBD makes a three step hop up the countdown and is looking firmly at the Top 5! I just got Rebels (their English album) and much like J-pop, some things should not be translated. Oooh-lee-eht? What the hell man?! Well, at least Mia sounds hawt in ANY language.
6. UVERworld - Kimi no Suki na Uta (Last Week #3, #1 for four weeks)
After dominating the Countdown for the better part of two months, UVERworld is losing their grip, falling a few spots this week. Despite that, the live version of this song kicks ass. Hope to hear something new from these guys soon.
5. Rain (Bi) – I’m Coming (Last Week # 8)

Yes. YES. YES! HELLS YES!! As I told you before, the Bi/Omarion song kicks ass and the video will be a letter and two words: A PARADIGM SHIFT! The dance moves in that video may create a rip in the space time continuum that will cause a rupture in the fabric of existence itself. Oh, and it will kick ass. Oh, this slipped under the radar but Bi has his second Top 5 (Freeway went to #5 earlier this year).
4. Nelly Furtado – Say It Right (Last Week #6)
Ooooohhhhh, my lady love moves up into the fray for #1. Words cannot describe how much I love this song and dig this woman. Can ‘Say It Right’ do what ‘Maneater’ could not and capture the top spot? We’ll see! Now, we enter the Top Three…
3. Game – Let’s Ride (Last Week #4)

The Game moves up a spot for his second trip in the top three. Last time he got held off by John Legend, can The Game take the top for the West Coast? On another note, I hope ‘Doctors Advocate’ doesn’t end up being like ‘The Doggfather’. Does anyone own that album? It was arguably Snoop’s best work and no one owns it.
2. Bennie K – Joy Trip (Last Week #1, #1 for one week)

So after a week at Number One, Yuki and Cico fall a spot to #2. Third time was the charm for the ladies of Bennie K, with Disco Sempai and Resnou Game failing to reach the top. Even still, I like this video. Holy shit, did you know that Cico had an afro?! Man…I’d still hit that. With the previous champs falling from the top, who holds the belt?
1. John Legend – Heaven (Last Week #2, #1 for one week)

John Legend ends the year at #1 and finishes one week behind UVERworld for the most combined weeks at number one (7-6)! When Grammy nods come out, if John Legend doesn’t have at least four I will be pissed the fuck off. It was the best R&B album by far and should be up for album of the year. Seriously, name another album as good as John’s. Well, at least I give him his respect.

That was the last Top 20 of 2006, peeps! Tune in next Friday for the first Top 20 of 2007! Will John Legend hold on for another week? Or will Bennie K take back their throne? Or can The Game finally hold down the top? Look out, Nelly Furtado, Bi and even RBD are making moves as well. I will be back in a bit later after some Densha Otoko watching.

My god…it makes me want to cry. I am such a damn nerd. Well, I will try to be back this weekend. Stay up, peeps.

Live, Laugh Learn and Love.
