You Won't Have ME To Kick Around Anymore!

Alright peeps, it is Friday morning so you know what that means! It is time for….

Chachi’s Top 20 Video Countdown!

Some interesting movement, we start with the debut of a hip hop icon…

20. Nas – Hip Hop Is Dead (New Entry)

Yeah, Nasir Jones is back. I have said it once, I will say it again. Nas is either fantastic or fantastically bad. This song is actually pretty damn good and the video is kind of original. He already used this sample for ‘Thief’s Theme’ but I like this song better.
19. UVERworld - Shamrock (Last Week #16, #1 for three weeks)
Man, the ride is almost over for Shamrock. After being on the Countdown since the beginning, this is odds are the final week for this song being on the Top 20. It’s sad, because I was jamming to this song on the way to work this morning. This song still rules. Will it be the song of the year? Find out on December 30th for my year end post!
18. May J feat. VERBAL – Here We Go (Last Week #20)
So this single gets released next week. If anyone out there is planning on getting me a gift, this would be a great gift idea. Not sure when (or even IF) she will be releasing an album, but DAMN I want it.
17. Jay Z – Give Me What You Got (Last Week # 14)
So ‘Lost Ones’ isn’t all that bad. This song has begun to grate my nerves after hearing it EVERYWHERE. I am beginning to not hate ‘Kingdom Come’ as much, although there are a lot of average tracks on it.
16. Yui – Rolling Star (Last Week #18)

Yeah, this song rules. Seeing as how I haven’t seen Bleach since episode 104, this song has been my only link to it. I just watched her live Unplugged show and yeah, I’m a fan. She was performing a lot of songs I can’t find, though. I am digging the Matrix effects in this video, too.
15. Young Jeezy – I Love It (Last Week #17)
So I guess Jeezy and Nas are beefing now. Man, this is just sad. Every four minutes rappers are acting stupid for the sake of being fucking stupid. Hopefully it doesn’t go any farther than just yapping because I have no time to hear 90 mixtape tracks about this shit.
14. JoJo – Too Little, Too Late (Last Week #10)
Slowly making her way down, JoJo slides another four spots. I actually still listen to this song every now and then and I realized that she is only 15. A little too young to be talking about this stuff. Britney’s trifling ass maybe. JoJo needs to go back to class.
13. RBD (Rebelde) – Ser o Parecer (Last Week #15)

Yeah, you know it. Celestial is the album of the year! No, not really but it kicks ass. Can I say that when I go to Albertacos or Monica’s Taco Shop and have this playing I think they don’t appreciate it. They probably spit in my food. GET YOUR OWN MUSIC, GRINGOS!
12. Pushim, RHYMESTER, HOME MADE KAZOKU, MABOROSHI, May J – I Say Yeah (Last Week #12)
This song stays pat this week. It is in that weird limbo phase where there are other songs that I just like a little bit better. That and each of these artist (sans MABOROSHI) have solo songs out right now which I am listening to. Since May J is in the video, it doesn’t fall because…you know. I love her and all.
11. Rain (Bi) – I’m Coming (Last Week # 13)

Wow, Bi is looking for his 3rd Top Ten video in the short time I have been doing this. That is quite the accomplishment for someone I really didn’t listen to months ago. Not only that, he has had three kick ass singles put two that didn’t make it because I liked the others SO MUCH. Well, too bad the reason I know of him pisses me off or he would be artist of the year.
10. Bowling For Soup – High School Never Ends (Last Week #9)
So this video falls a spot, mainly because of lack of listening to it. I have been all about a few other songs (mainly a certain song by Nelly Furtado) so this track has fallen to the wayside. That doesn’t take away from it being COMPELETELY TRUE.
9. John Legend – Save Room (Last Week #6, #1 for five weeks)
STILL HOLDING ON, BABY! Save room for John Legend for at least another week in the Top 10. Much like UVERworld, John Legend defines the Countdown for the most part. That and this album rules all.
8. Nelly Furtado – Say It Right (Last Week #11)

HELLS YEAH!! Listening to this right now and man Timbaland is on his game in 2006. Between this and Ice Box by Omarion he has two of my favorite songs out right now. Not only that…Nelly Furtado is hot. REAL HAWT. I say that a lot but it is damn true.
7. Soul’d Out – Starlight Destiny (Last Week # 5)
NOOOO!! Diggy Mo and company fall even more this week! They really need a new video out. I like this song but…I am in need of much more. MO’ DIGGY MO!
6. Nelly Furtado – Maneater (Last Week #4)
Nelly Furtado’s second song on the Countdown and I must say it has been a great year for her as well. This song is a little too catchy for me (I have been humming it all morning) but that is kind of a good thing. She still moves down two places, though.
5. Game – Let’s Ride (Last Week #7)

You know, I am not a fan of hip hop like I used to be (it has officially fallen behind J-Pop after the Jeezy/Nas fiasco) but The Game has put together a good year and has two great runs on the Countdown this year with ‘One Blood’ making it to #2. Maybe hip hop ISN’T dead!
4. John Legend – Heaven (Last Week #8, Biggest Mover)
So John Legend jumps four more spaces to give him his second Top 5 video. This song has really begun to grow on me and along with Omarion (WHO FUCKING SAW THAT COMING!) is really making R&B somewhat tolerable again. Let’s hope that Musiq comes out soon to wash the pain of the impending R. Kelly album away.
3. Justin Timberlake feat. T.I. – My Love (Last Week # 2)

After a vicious battle for the Number One Spot, J. Tim and T.I. fail to wrestle the crown away after two weeks. On another note, where in the hell is another T.I. single?! I think that ‘Get It’ would be a pretty kick ass video, seeing as it is one of the few times Swizz Beats aint saving money by looking a line to make a hook. Since Justin only has two singles left from his album, let’s hope for ‘Chop It Up’ featuring the Three Six Mafia. It’s a Tennessee thang, fools!
2. Bennie K – Joy Trip (Last Week #3)

So Bennie K is the next contender to the throne of the Chachi Top 20! After a long road (10 weeks) they move up to the number two spot. Holy crap, this song just came on the play list. Shit, that is coincidence for your ass. I know it is J-Country (and I fucking can’t stand country for the most part) but this song is quite the catchy. Well, with a new number two that means the reigning champ still rules your asses for another week…
1. UVERworld - Kimi no Suki na Uta (Last Week #1, #1 for four weeks)

The champ is HERE! Between Shamrock and Kimi no Suki na Uta, UVERworld has been at the top for a total of 7 weeks. That is a quarter of the time this Countdown has been going on (don’t forget, I started this in September)! Can you say dynasty? Jay-Z has nothing on UVER-Chan!

Well, that is all for this week! It’s almost the end of the year peeps, who will be champ when the year ends? Can UVERworld tie John Legend for the most consecutive weeks at number one with their fifth week in a row? Or will Bennie K take their place as Queens of the Countdown? Or will Justin and T.I. bounce back and take over the top spot? Don’t forget, The Game, Nelly Furtado, John Legend and even RBD are making fast moves toward the top so stay tuned! The new year should be exciting!

Well, the Chachi is out for now. I will be back later (maybe this weekend) due so some hootenanny I need to attend. The days are just packed. Stay up, peeps.
