God motherfucking dammit pirate whore fuck shit cockslot FUCKITY FUCK DICK! Bobby Petrino can rot in fucking hell. Fuck you....you...FUCK! First Mike Vick decides to kill dogs. No crime in my book if you have seen Cujo or All Dogs Go To Heaven (In that case, why are people bitching?! They are in a better place any-damn-way!) but according to the LAW he is in jail for about 18 months. All that speed should help you dodge rapes and your arms should get strong from all the masturbating and handjobs you will be performing to survive. Fuck you, Mike Vick. Fuck you in your stupid head.
Then, players left and right support his stupid ass and act a fool (DeAngelo Hall you worthless fuck and your dumbass personal foul calls against Carolina when we had a 10 point lead. Thank you for officially fucking over our season. Football is about momentum and you killed it, you brain-dead shit) pretty much phoning it in unless your name is Roddy White. Thank you for giving me hope that you will probably take your talent elsewhere because the Falcons suck balls and probably will for at LEAST two more seasons. Great, losing the only good player on the team that is under 700 pounds (Alge Crumpler. I know I am fat but DAAAAAAAAAAAAMN!) should do wonders for bringing fans back to the dome.
Lastly, it looks like Bobby Petrino is taking his fickle ass back to the college ranks to join other worthless fucks like Nick Saban and Steve Spurrier (who can both die in hell and I will piss on their cats if they have them) who left NFL teams completely FUCKED UP. Now before you sit back and say it is all Vick's fault remember: there are 53 (at least) other players on that team not counting practice squads. There are also coaches that implement a system that these players run. Petrino GUTTED THE FUCK out of a team that was consistently average (8-8 in 2005, 7-9 in 2006) that was really just hampered by injuries on defense and a predictable, underachieving offense. When healthy, this team was a game away from the Super Bowl with almost the same exact personnel. Instead of taking what was in the cupboard and re-tooling it using what they did well (run the ball and...not throw the ball) he re-tooled and fucked up everything. Now I know not having Vick is a wildcard that could make them 3-10 or 10-3 but lets be real: the spread offense does NOT WORK in the NFL, even with good players unless you run the ball. By getting rid of the people already there he put in a system that was not a fit for the players they had and by losing arguably the most dynamic player at QB he totally screwed over the players and fans. Congratulations, shitbag. Enjoy Arkansas. I hope LSU and Auburn rape your ass every Saturday, figuratively and literally.
Lastly to Arthur Blank. I don’t know what to say right now. I want to be pissed at you for letting Peter Kerney (who is OWNING in Seattle) and Matt Schaub (who has the HOUSTON TEXANS in the playoff race) go but I cant because sadly that is the salary cap day we as fans have to live in. However...the fact that you invested so much in a man that was a habitual line stepper is disheartening. Mike Vick was known to be a fuck-up since college and you put so much into him. Was he electrifying? Without a doubt. Was he worth 110 million dollars? FUCK NO. You reap what you so. You put the franchise in the hands of someone that couldn’t run his own life and you got what you should have: a franchise in disarray as much as his own life was and is.
That being said, I will always be an Atlanta Falcons fan. I have been a fan since 1986 and will be forever. However....I will never forgive Mike Vick. Legal stupidity aside because I have my own issues with what he did. You lied. You lied to me and you lied to your fans. You lied to the people that defended you when you were at your worst and spoke the highest of you when you were at your peak. We consistently accepted your apologies and you habitually disappointed us. I have never really been a "Super Fan" but I was a fan of Falcons football and I was a true fan of Vick. Maybe I shouldn’t have been and I accept blame for investing so much pride in a man that obviously couldn’t have given a flying fuck about the people that support him. I own four Mike Vick jerseys and I will never wear any of them again. I have never been so disappointed. First Chris Benoit and now you. This has been a really bad year.
I rarely do sports blogs on here but as a few of you know I am a huge Falcons fan and have stuck with them through many a shitty year. I really had to get this out. I will be back on Friday, maybe sooner. Until then, peace out.
Oh, and if the Atlanta Falcons staff is reading this (and I know they aren’t)….please start DJ Shockley once he gets healthy. Proven winner and all the tools. Focus on fixing that line in the draft. Not like we could do any WORSE.
Now I’m out.

People Get Ready...THE CHACHI BUS IS COMING!
What is up, people! It is a COLD ASS SUNDAY in the CSP and I want to go outside but….screw that. It is fucking cold out there. I may work from home tomorrow if it doesn’t get much better. Which it WILL because I want to do that. It is just my luck and all.
Well, I saw The Golden Compass on Friday night before the weather turned to shit and I all can say is AWESOME.! Let’s have a rundown:
Sam Elliott (The Stranger from “The Big Lebowski) being FUCKING AWESOME?: CHECK
Ian McKellan voicing a polar bear?: CHECK
A ferret getting its shit OWNED by the funny looking pilot monkey from Star Wars?: CHECK
A bear getting its lower mandible WRECKED by another bear in MORTAL KOMBAT?!: CHECK (What can I say, the best bear violence is bear on bear violence).
Ugly, UGLY British children?: CHECK. I swear; the Brits raise some fugly children. You saw Harry Potter and Narnia. Look like they fly the Ugly Jack, not the Union Jack.
Spunky young heroine?: CHECK. Normally I am not for women doing something action based unless it involves achieving Bankai or wrecking the shit of the Injustice Gang but Dakota Blue Richards was awesome in this movie.
Implied Muslim and Catholic unity to take down the free thinking normal people?: CHECK. You tell me that the soldiers with the wolf daemons weren’t Arabs and I will call you a moron. That is where the world is heading. I mean both Catholics and Muslims believe in some dumb ass shit so you know them teaming up and forming a stupidest team-up that no one gives a fuck about since the shitty Lord Magmar joined sides with the equally shitty Cy-Kill in GoBots: Battle of the Rock Lords:
Anyone who remembers this movie is probably pissed at me for bringing it up. I apologize but that is how much Catholics and Islamic extremists piss me off.
Meeting party members like Final Fantasy?: CHECK. They even had an airship! All they need now is a black mage and some chocobos and we are in business.
Nicole Kidman officially creeping me the fuck out?: CHECK. I just don’t see how people find her hot. If little redheaded ginger boy bodies are your thing then go for it. I will stick with Sowelu:

Yeah, I was just looking for an excuse to put my baby boo on a blog.
Overall, I have to say that The Golden Compass will not do the numbers of (ugh) Chronicles of Narnia or Harry Potter because people in America love the Jebus and hate things that rule. Think about it: why do we have 50 Cent and Carrie Underwood (who both suck sweaty camel balls) all over the place while I have to dig for an Abingdon Boys School video even though they kick more ass than the previous fucktards combined. This movie had EVERYTHING in it, including a sweeping score and pretty good acting. Better than Harry Potter, anyway. Overall, I liked this movie more than any holiday film I have seen and is easily the best film of the holiday season. Besides….it has bears fighting! Get off your ass and go see it! I give The Golden Compass...

10 Out of 10 Stars!
Now you know what time it is. It is rant time! Yes, it has been a while but it is about that time. Boy, am I pissed the hell off about a lot of shit. So rather than rant on ONE thing, I will rant on MANY THINGS! The weather outside is frightful, but the Chachi is rather delightful because it is time for…
CHACHI’S RANT OMNIBUS III: 2007 Year In Review!
Let’s get this bus a-movin!
Question 1: Do You Believe That Chivalry Is Still Dead?
Well, after my experiences with the female persuasion of 2006 I thought that all women were evil succubae that lived to destroy and suck all the life out of men, and not in the good way. The women I dealt with (which weren’t many, like four) were either all about “grrl power” to a fault or felt a man should do EVERYTHING and I am all about neither. Either I was to NEVER hold open a door or I was to do everything for her and take her stupidity and male bashing in stride because she had been “wronged”. After 2007, I must say that I learned a lot about how women view chivalry and while my view hasn’t totally changed it had expanded. After this year I realized that I still believe it is dying but it being dead varies by the man and the woman. It’s like this. You can write this down, use it on your significant other or say you said it. But you heard it here first:
“The reason chivalry is dead is because women see chivalry as dependence while men see chivalry as ownership.”
Like I said, this is from my own experience and observation but after conferring with others I have realized that this is actually a very true statement. Women view men doing tasks for them as taking away from their independence (Not my words, three separate women who were talking about opening doors and pulling out chairs which I do and have been stared at like a fucking weirdo each time except for once) while men feel that if they do the simple things for women (buy dinner, open doors, treat them like human-fucking-beings) that she “owe him something”. Now I think that in the few times a woman actually either got drunk enough or desperate enough to agree to go out with me (not a date, just as a dyad in a place at the same time) I have not paid only….twice? Never have I felt that a woman owed me anything for doing what as a man I believe I should do any-fucking-way. I pay because I want to and I should. Is it old-fashioned and out-dated? Yes, but so is two back set in the running game but people do it because it works. If a woman wants to pay I usually say no unless it is agreed upon before hand and usually they get al skittish because THEY are expecting me to owe them something because that was taught to you by bitch-ass niggas and your dumb ass mother. Blame them for being stupid not me for having manners.
Which all that being said, chivalry is a two way street. A woman has to understand that chivalry is about manners and kindness, not about ownership and quid por quo. A MAN NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND THE SAME FUCKING THING! You buy her dinner if you two go out, she owes you jack shit but a thank you. And if you are a dick about it, she doesn’t owe you THAT. Do your fucking job and if she is a real woman, she will be appreciative. That doesn’t mean mouth love (although mouth love on a first date would make me suspicious about a woman ANYWAY) but along the line, if she sees you aren’t a total fucktard and you see she isn’t a total headcase bitch, good things will happen. Long story short, chivalry as a whole, much like hip hop, is dying. Every once in a while you find a diamond in the rough that appreciates what you do or will treat you how you deserve so it’s not all a loss.
Alright, peeps! Keep your hands inside the window because we are rolling on!
Question 2: Do Black Woman Still Not Like You?
You know what? I think this has been a misunderstanding. Its not that black women don’t LIKE me as much as I don’t relate to what is perceived as being “black” in America. Let’s add it all up:
1. I like to go to musicals
2. I listen to Japanese pop
3. I play video games
4. I watch anime
5. I really don’t like rap or r&b for the most part
6. I LOVE THE 80’s! If you don’t, you are a dumbass
7. I watch Adult Swim (Aqua Teens, Venture Brothers, etc.)
8. I use words and phrases that are above everyone’s heads but Nolan and Zach’s. Women hate that shit I have learned. Gotta keep it at an MTV level.
9. I think Bi is HAWT. But in my defense….he's fucking HAWT!

10. I don’t want to get shot, so I stay away from places Blacks frequent (Eden, I am looking squarely at you. Great establishment but I don’t want to dodge bullets on Friday nights)
Combine that with some other factors (no longer live by myself, I’m kind of a prick, no one gets my jokes except for three or four people, I am incapable of love, I’m not all that sexy) and I am not attractive to ANY WOMAN, let alone black women. When you look at my interests and where I frequent, I only attract two kinds of woman: divorced non-black women over the age of 35 and peppy non-black women under the age of 21. It’s….a conundrum. So it’s not that they don’t like me, it’s that what I do isn’t very appealing. Nothing wrong with that. Maybe Nolan is right: I will have to change myself to find a lady. Never, I keeps it real! Real lonely!
Buckle up, people! We are taking a road trip to another question!
Question 3: Do You Still Think That Rape and Abuse Can Be Funny?
Okay, I will be the first to admit that the amount of people that read my blog on Blogger has dropped off (from about 100 a day to about 70ish but I hardly update so it is understandable) recently but my “rape can be funny” comment drew some ire from the internet and from people I knew that heard me say it after the “Handbanana” episode of ATHF. Now I never said that rape was “funny” as a whole as much as the concept and act of it can be used in a situation for humor. Like how Uncle Ruckus jokes about lynching on The Boondocks. I mean I enjoy a good lynch party as much as the next guy but the act of lynching isn’t funny. Talking about it as punishment for fouling a white girl? That is humor. Same with rape and domestic violence.
Now as many (or like…two) of you know I joke about abusing women a lot. The reason is because literally 2 out of every 5 of my female friends has been in a relationship where they were abused (verbally, physically and mentally) by a boyfriend or husband for an extended amount of time and ended up BEING DUMPED by the fucker after staying with his trifling ass for long ass times. Now that is the ultimate in irony in my honest opinion but I am broken inside. I’m not going to say that I was mentally abused by a woman but she did fuck me up a tad back in the day so I know the symptoms and I know WHY they stayed and that is why it is funny. It is tragic that it happens but at the same time if you let it happen over and over then you can’t blame anyone but your fool self. Seriously, is a man is kicking your ass or calling you a whore every ten minutes then you need to leave. If you are scared, call the cops. It is what they are there for. I am not blaming the victim; I am asking them to take accountability because an abuser will not because they are fucked up in the head. As the sane one it is up to you to handle the leaving part. If you don’t, then you really can’t complain about jack shit and in the end it become a tad bit ridiculous that you stay because “we have so much history.” Yes and that history is of him kicking your ass like Vader did Sting in the early 90’s:
Now THAT is a beating. When it comes to abuse I joke to make people think. When it comes to rape, it is never funny. Unless it is done by a fictional dog shaped like a banana:
It is time for the last stop of the Chachi Omnibus! Make sure you grab all of your things because this one is a doozy!
Question 4: Compared to 2006, Was 2007 Better?
You know what? In all honesty when I compare last year to this year…2006 was better. Wait, you say? I said 2006 was the year of my discontent? Yes it was but you know what? I learned a lot last year. I met new friends (WHO HAVENT TALKED TO ME IN TWO WEEKS NAMED RICK!), had a pretty good job (Kind of, better than Comcast I tell you what) and I had a lot of fun hanging out in Denver and not remembering what I did. In comparison, the first half of 2007 (January to June) were awesome as hell. I saw Wicked and A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, went to some kick ass places (Sushi Den rocked the box and Cru was wine drinking goodness. I’m definitely going back) and overall had a fun job. Then there was the drinking sake at lunch which always rules. The next month (July) sucked and if you get a few Tuaca Bombs and Blue Moons in me I will tell you about it. From August until October my life SUCKED THE BALLS. I had three jobs, my wife left me, my crankshaft got depressed, ladies stopped calling (like they ever DID) and other stuff that I will go over in my Year In Review post on December 30th. Aside from The Little Mermaid and NDK, it SUCKED. In October I started at Westwood which even though I didn’t stay long, I had the most fun in a while. I liked the people (I still hang out with most of the people I met there) and the job wasn’t bad, albeit repetitive. Then I got the call from HP and since then it has been good times. Overall, 2006 was still better in terms of life lessons. I learned:
1. Never waste money on tickets for “Pirates of Penzance” on a woman because they don’t appreciate shit.
2. 5 vodka tonics, 5 Malibu & Cokes and 6 beers in an two hours means you forget a lot of stuff.
3. Always have a drinking buddy. Between Rick, Zach, Nicole and Jen I learned that I will never be an alcoholic because I never drink alone. Thanks for keeping my delusions real!
4. Driving alone at 3am opens you up to reflection and gives you an appreciation for slow jams.
5. All horrible things will happen in my car.
Most importantly, until I see a midget bouncer and a one armed homeless man in the same day nothing will ever top 2006. But 9 out of 12 months ain’t bad.
Well, the bus has come to a stop for today! I will try to be up more often now with a new job that opens up about an hour for me to rant about things. I like talking to the peeps. Come back more, your dogs are barking.

SLUMBER PARTY!!! Not Really...
Well it is Friday so you know what day it is and what happens at about this time! It’s time for the….
Chachi’s Top 20 Video Countdown!!!
We start with a debut for a group waiting a LONG TIME for their first video on the Countdown!
20. HIGH AND MIGHTY COLOR – Amazing (New Entry)
For the first time ever, HIGH AND MIGHTY COLOR make it onto the Countdown! They have had some kick ass songs and videos but this is their first foray into the Top 20. This video is rather rawk but it’s the SONG that rawks your face off. Like Evanescence with from the Far East.
19. Sowelu, EXILE & DOBERMAN INC – 24 Karat (Last Week #16, One week at #1)
NEW SOWELU! EVEN NEWER EXILE! Two debuts next week, I guarantee it! This video didn’t pull a Chachi this year but it will be on the Year End Extravaganza!
18. Snoop Dogg – Sexual Seduction (New Entry)
Yeah, I was shocked too. I would never think that Snoop Dogg would make it on here but lo and behold he makes his first trip. All I can say is that this song is fucking awesome. As for the video…the 70’s were fantastic and you know it. It took 15 years, but Snoop finally made a song I really like.
17. Yui – Love & Truth (Last Week #14)
This year’s big nominee took home NO VIDEO AWARDS! A shocker, but at the same time UGK had that big of a year. BTW, rest in peace for Pimp C. You will be missed, Sweet Jones.
16. Nelly Furtado – Do It (Last Week #11, Plunge of the Week)
Nelly Furtado falls a big five spots this week. Despite that, Nelly won two big Chachi Awards this year, to go along with her three from last year to be the winningest person ever at the Chachi Awards!
15. Abingdon Boys School – Blade Chord (Last Week #17)
ABS moves up a modest two places after a big day on Sunday. They took home FOUR awards on the music end but were shut out on the video end. They did win the most awards aside from a certain someone…
14. Daughtry – Over You (Last Week #11)
Daughtry falls three spots this week as we move closer to the Top 10. In a shocker, Daughtry was shut out this year thanks to Abingdon Boys School. Take away ABS and he may have been three for three.
13. Paramore – CrushCrushCrush (Last Week #15)
Paramore inches toward their second Top 10 video of 2007. I am wondering if they are going to make a new video or just go for it and create a new album. Here is hoping for the latter because the more Hayley the better.
12. Kanye West feat. T-Pain - GoodLife (Last Week #9)
Kanye falls out of the Top Ten right before the end of the year. He only won one award this year, but it was the biggest of them all. Supposedly he has a video for “Champion” soon and I am looking forward to that.
11. NaNa – SHOW GIRL (Last Week #19, Biggest Mover)
HELLS. YES. All I can say is that without NaNa my life would be pretty darn crappy right now. She won a Chachi for Best Dance Video (along with Bi) and this video moves up a big EIGHT SPOTS this week! Mmm…this could be the hawtest year ever.
10. Mihimaru GT – I SHOULD BE SO LUCKY (Last Week #14)
We are in the Top 10 and Mihimaru GT has their second Top 10 of the last three months! Can this video capture the top spot like “Gazen Yeah!” did? We will have to see because there is some STIFF competition in the Top 10 right now.
9. Alicia Keys – Like You’ll Never See Me Again (Last Week #10)
After a huge jump, Alicia Keys moves up only one spot this week. With her fine self. She tied with Abingdon Boys School for the most Chachi’s last Sunday even with her album only being out for two months! Good stuff. Oh, and she is hawt. Just in case I haven’t said it in the last three minutes.
8. Paramore – Misery Business (Last Week #5)
Paramore falls from the Top Five for the first time in a month after peaking at number 2 three weeks ago. They were shut out of the Chachi’s this year because of ABS but they have had an awesome last quarter of 2007. Can’t argue with two videos in the Top 20.
7. One Republic feat. Timbaland – Apologize (Last Week #8)
One Republic moves up a spot this week as they make their first trip on the Countdown count. It will be interesting to see how they follow this up. This video has been a SMASH all over the place and it is really hard to make another hit like this. I’m just saying.
6. May J. – Do Tha, Do Tha (Last Week #7)
Just got May J’s album. The cup….hath been filled.
5. Alicia Keys – No One (Last Week #2, Five Weeks at #1)
Alicia falls a big three spots this week but stays in the Top 5. She has two videos in the Top 10 and may be able to pull off only what Foxxi MisQ and UVERworld has done and have two videos in the Top 5. Actually, Foxxi had the number two AND three videos at one point but that may never happen again. Or may it?
4. Asian Kung-Fu Generation – After Dark (Last Week #6)
The Asian Kung Fu Generation is in the Top 5 for the first time ever! Pretty good for their first time out and being off the scene for about a year or so. On another note, there is no new episode of Bleach this week (to which I say boo) but they are getting ready to cut loose against Espada (kind of) so that should rule.
3. Yuna Ito – Urban Mermaid (Last Week #4)
Yuna has her second Top Three video of 2007! Yuna hasn’t been this high for a long time and she hopes to stay there. I still love the live performances of this song because…well I think she has nice legs. Sue me, I’m in love.
2. TI feat. AlfaMega & Busta Rhymes - Hurt (Last Week #3)
TI follows up his two Chachi wins by moving one step closer to his third number one video! I am hoping for something new soon because his first two videos were lackluster. He kind of owes me. With TI at number two, the Champ is still here….
1. NaNa – Movin’ On (Last Week #1, Two Weeks at #1)
….and it is NaNa! She spends her second week at #1 as she has another video moving up the Countdown at rocket speed! I am still waiting for the album but until then I have enough NaNa to last me for a while. Where are the live shows at? I’m thinking it would be like a Namie Amuro show. Congratulations!
That is all for this week! Tune in next week to see if NaNa can make it three weeks at the top! Or will finally take his crown back as King? Or will Yuna stake her claim as Queen of the Countdown? Tune in next week to find out! Until then, stay up peeps! I will try to have a blog up this weekend!

Sweet Jones....You Will Be Missed.
Today, Pimp C from UGK was found dead in his hotel room in California.
*sigh*
There are no reports of foul play, but that doesnt make it easy. As Griff can tell you, Pimp C had the best verse of all time in the "What Means The World To Me" remix and I will forever say "Hold Up, Beetch!" in his memory. The video won 3 Chachi Awards on Sunday and is without a doubt one of my favorite songs ever so I will put it up one more time:
Smoke something, bitches.
Rest in peace, Pimp C.

The Re-Return of the Chachi Strikes Back Part II: The Reckoning
What is up peeps?! I am back in the in the cut! It has been a while since I have done a straight up blog and needless to say it feels good to be back. I liked unleashing my anger onto the internet. A lot has changed since the last time I was here. I started (another) new job. Yeah, I left Westwood (With a whimper, surprisingly. No SWAT team or anything) and went back to you know who. Hey, he said he would change! Yes, I am joking about abuse and I know I am wrong but so what. It’s how I roll: single and misunderstood.
So I went to Walgreens to get some nasal spray because I am addicted to it when I saw two things. First, I finally found some damn Ju Ju Bees! The most delicious and nutritious food with NO NUTRITIONAL VALUE WHATSOEVER is now being consumed by me. Teeth-rotting goodness! Secondly, I went to the newsstand and I noticed something odd. There was a Japanese woman on the cover of Ebony Magazine:

Now someone told me “that’s not a Japanese woman, that’s Michael Jackson” to which I wanted to say “no shit” until I realized something…
I COULDN’T TELL WHAT HE WAS!
Seriously. Does this look like Michael anymore?

He looks like Ayumi Hamasaki.
That is not good because she looks like she has been cut up more than a white woman at OJ’s house. You know…this is why I don’t have any friends. Anyway, like Katt Williams, I am pretty much through with Mike. I mean….what in the hell, man?! He looks like a bishonen character! Make my words: Michael Jackson will do a manga like Avril Lavigne. And it WILL BE YAOI and then I will have to kick his ass. I don’t want to do that. I liked Thriller.
On another note: last month I mentioned about Colorado Springs being the third drunkest city in America and how our goal is to be number one for 2008. To help that effort, I am not going to drink until New Year’s Eve. Its gonna be tough but I am a man with a lifelong dream. A lifelong dream that I got about a month ago when I saw a random article. Colorado Springs, now is our time to make something out of this town. No longer will we be a city known for dumb ass bros, a bunch of military bases and Jesus freaks. We will be a town that knows how to party! So people, rest up your livers. Come January, it is time to grab the bottle and get to drinking!
I will be back sometime this week before the Countdown with a rant. If not, it will definitely be up on Saturday because this weekend I am taking it easy. Until I return, stay up peeps. Oh, here is something to turn your world upside down:

Welcome To The 2nd Annual Chachi's Music & Video Awards!!!
You have waited all year and it is about that time. I want to thank everyone for coming and if you take your seats we can get started! If has been a great year in music and videos and today I will give the respect to those that mastered their craft. Today is the day when the most awesomest, the hawtest and the badassied…est videos shine. Ladies and gentlemen, I welcome you to the…
2nd Annual Chachi Music & Video Awards!!!
Alrighty, everyone. Let’s get started! We will begin with the Music portion of the show!
It was a HUGE year in music with records being set left and right! We all know that Yui dominated the nominations in the part of the show, lets she if she can cash in! We get started in a category in which she is nominated to boot!
Pop Album of the Year
Yui – Can’t Buy My Love
Avril Lavigne – Best Damn Thing
Kumi Koda – Black Cherry
M-Flo – Cosmicolor
Daughtry - Daughtry
Maroon 5- It Won’t Be Soon Long Before
Namie Amuro – Play
Bennie K – The World
Tha Winnah: Yui – Can’t Buy My Love!

Not really a shock here. With no Nelly Furtado or Justin Timberlake it was her category win. Although Kumi Koda didn’t get the props for “Black Cherry” like I think she should have. It was great stuff. Bennie K kind of let me down and Namie took WAY TOO LONG to come out but Yui’s album was one of three I have listened to straight through this year. The others were TI and the Hairspray soundtrack. I’m eclectic. Now we move on to our next category!
Rock Album of the Year
Paramore – Riot!
Abingdon Boys School – Abingdon Boys School
Linkin Park – Minutes To Midnight
L`Arc~en~Ciel - KISS
Maximum the Hormone – Maximum the Hormone
Foo Fighters - Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace
Aqua Timez - Dareka no Chijou E
UVERworld – BUGRIGHT
Tha Winnah: Abingdon Boys School – Abingdon Boys School!

Kind of a shock, as I made this decision last due to Aqua Timez only coming out two weeks ago and Paramore’s album growing on me. Linkin Park’s album was surprisingly good while UVERworld was like Bennie K: kind of a letdown after following a BAD ASS album from 2006. ABS lived up to all the hype I put on them with their debut album as there wasn’t a bad song on there. We are moving on!
Rap/Hip Hop Album of the Year
UGK – Underground Kingz
nobodyknows+ - vulgarhythm
T.I. – T.I. vs. T.I.P.
Talib Kweli - Eardrum
Common – Finding Forever
KREVA - Yoroshiku Onegai Shimasu
Kanye West – Graduation
Tha Winnah: TI – TI vs. TIP!

This was a tough category, especially with Graduation being surprisingly good. KREVA really made a play for this one as I was totally shocked by the beats and his overall performance. Common and Talib didn’t have massive years and UGK was kind of disappointing with it either being awesome or bad on each song. In the end, TI overcame Kanye and a surprising nobodyknows+ to win this one. More to come?
R&B Album of the Year
Exile – Evolution
Alicia Keys – As I Am
Robin Thicke – Evolution of Robin Thicke (Re-release)
Ne-Yo – Because of You
Amy Winehouse – Back To Black
Musiq Soulchild – Luvanmusiq
Joss Stone – Introducing Joss Stone
Tha Winnah - Alicia Keys – As I Am!

Aside from EXILE (which had a BAD ASS ALBUM) this was Alicia’s award to lose. I have been listening to the album on my iPod for about a month now and I love it. Too bad I cant nominate it two years in a row because it would be up for the award again next year, too. Props to Musiq for quietly giving us another good album.
J-Pop Album of the Year
Namie Amuro – Play
Abingdon Boys School – Abingdon Boys School
Yui – Can’t Buy My Love
Bennie K – The World
Foxxi MisQ – Gloss
Aqua Timez - Dareka no Chijou E
KREVA - Yoroshiku Onegai Shimasu
HALCALI - Cyborg Oretachi
Tha Winnah: Abingdon Boys School – Abingdon Boys School!

Abingdon Boys School tops Yui, Namie AND Aqua Timez?! Talk about ballsy! I cant help it, the album is that rawk. Foxxi MisQ actually gave an album that isn’t getting much respect. Like a really poppy TLC minus the rapping of Left Eye. I have been looking for someone to fill that void and they fit. All that said, ABS has one of the besy albums of the year. Speaking of album of the year…
Album of the Year (Overall)
Common – Finding Forever
Alicia Keys- As I Am
Namie Amuro - Play
Abingdon Boys School – Abingdon Boys School
Yui – Cant Buy My Love
TI - T.I. vs. T.I.P.
Kanye West - Graduation
M-Flo – CosmiCOLOR
Tha Winnah: Kanye West – Graduation!

In a shocker! Kanye tops Alicia, Namie, BS, M-Flo (another underrated album from this year) Yui and Common for his first Album of the Year award! No tantrum this year! Graduation was surprisingly good, his best work so far. The skits were gone, the songs were pointed and the beats were simple if not basic. He let his lyrics shine here and it worked. All the albums here had their merit but Kanye took his work to the next level this year and it showed. Congratulations! We move to the Artist segment!
Pop Artist of the Year
Namie Amuro
Daughtry
Yuna Ito
Mihimaru GT
Yui
Bennie K
Nelly Furtado
Foxxi MisQ
Tha Winnah: Yui!

Not really a shock here. Nelly Furtado won last year but with a limited body of work she couldn’t repeat. Yui have the biggest year of any artist so this was barely in doubt. Mihimaru GT had a huge end of the year, Foxxi MisQ had a HUGE summer while Yuna Ito and Daughtry dominated the spring. But this year there hasn’t been a single week where Yui wasn’t on the Countdown. It looks to be that she will have at least one video on for 52 weeks which is just AWESOME. Now for the newbies.
New Artist of the Year
Abingdon Boys School
Gym Class Heroes
Hearts Grow
Daughtry
May J
Foxxi MisQ
Soulja Boy
NaNa
Tha Winnah: Abingdon Boys School!

This was actually very close between ABS, Daughtry and Foxxi MisQ. In the end, it was the albums that were the final factor. May J was quiet for a long stretch but deserved some recognition if for nothing but her hawtness. In the end, ABS may be the biggest group of the year, hands down. Big ups to NaNa! She came on strong to end the year! Next is the most resurgent category.
Rap/Hip Hop Artist of the Year
T.I.
Young Jeezy
Common
KREVA
Game
nobodyknows+
UGK
Kanye West
Tha Winnah: TI!

You know, this wasn’t really close despite Kanye’s body of work. TI had arguably the biggest song of the beginning of the year not by Nelly Furtado with “My Love” with J-Tim. He also has one of the biggest songs to END the year with “Hurt”. In between was a number one, a Top 10 video and the summer’s biggest album despite limited promotion. Young Jeezy had a good Spring, but couldn’t keep up the steam with that shitty ass “White Girl” song. Big up to Game, who had a string of three Top Three videos this year. With that said, it was TI vs. Kanye and TI won has won two out of three.
R&B Artist/Group of the Year
Chris Brown
Exile
Omarion
Musiq Soulchild
Alicia Keys
A.I.
Robin Thicke
John Legend
Tha Winnah: Alicia Keys & John Legend!

This was CLOSE! I mean it pretty much was John Legend from January to August and Alicia from September on. It would have been John alone winning the award (two number one videos, a number two video) but Alicia’s album forced a tie. “Once Again” came out last year so…you know. Big ups to EXILE, they had a good string of songs from February to about August that I jammed to. Grab your guitars, bitches!!
Rock Artist/Group of the Year
Maximum The Hormone
Linkin Park
UVERworld
Paramore
Abingdon Boys School
One Day Grace
Aqua Timez
Foo Fighters
Tha Winnah: Abingdon Boys School!

After last years win, UVERworld had to give up the crown to Abingdon Boys School! Paramore and Aqua Timez made late runs but in the end the awesomeness that is ABS ruled the day. One Day Grace tried to sneak in there and Linkin Park had a great year. Max the Hormone made me appreciate random yelling but in the end…TM rocked your face and you know it.
J-Pop Artist of the Year
Yui
M-Flo
Namie Amuro
Bennie K
Foxxi MisQ
Aqua Timez
Abingdon Boys School
Yuna Ito
Mihimaru GT
Tha Winnah: Yui!

Yui FINALLY tops Abingdon Boys School! Just kidding, but it did seem like ABS was handing her lunch to her. All the nominees had a legitimate claim to the award but in the end, five Top 20 videos and one of the hottest albums of the year is hard to beat. If there was a runner up, it would have to be Namie. Had Yui’s album came out about a month earlier she would be the one to beat because I LOVED all her singles and videos however, it is Yui’s year so far.
Artist of the Year (Overall)
Yui
Kanye West
T.I.
Nelly Furtado
John Legend
UGK
Namie Amuro
Abingdon Boys School
Tha Winnah: Yui!

Okay, it was pretty much between Yui, John Legend and TI. All had impressive resumes but in the end it was Yui that pulled it out! Let’s look at the award tallies so far!
Abingdon Boys School – 4
Yui – 3
TI – 2
Alicia Keys – 2
Kanye West – 1
Can ABS keep it up? We are into the Video Awards so things may change!
Music Video Awards
Best Collaborative Video
UGK feat Outkast – International Players Anthem
May J feat M-Flo – Here We Go
Kanye West feat. T-Pain – Good Life
Daddy Yankee feat Fergie - Impacto
T.I. feat Young Dro, Young Jeezy, Big Kuntry & B.G. – Top Back (Remix)
Kanye West feat Daft Punk – Stronger
Justin Timberlake feat T.I. – My Love
Sowelu, EXILE & DOBERMAN INC – 24 Karats
Tha Winnah: Justin Timberlake feat T.I. – My Love!
With two nods in this one category, it looked like he had a good shot but UGK looked like a LOCK. In the end…you have NO IDEA how much I love this video and this song. I was all over it (I did it at karaoke once….) late last year and even this year. This was a tough category but despite the competition J-Tim wins an award this year after being shut out last year!
Pop Video of the Year
Daughtry – It’s Not Over
Mihimaru GT – Gazen Yeah!
Avril Lavigne – Boyfriend
Yui – CHE.R.RY
Maroon 5 – Makes Me Wonder
Namie Amuro – Baby Don’t Cry
Nelly Furtado – Say It Right
Yui – Rolling Star
Bi – I’m Coming (Rain Is Coming)
Tha Winnah: Nelly Furtado – Say It Right!
The first shocker of the night! Despite Yui being nominated TWICE and the stiff competition of Mihimaru GT, Daughtry, Maroon 5 AND Namie Amuro the hawt Nelly Furtado pulls out the victory! Let’s not forget Bi, either! This video was in rotation non-stop at The Q and the beginning of this year as well. A mild upset, but an upset nonetheless. Now for the gimmie of 2007.
Rap/Hip Hop Video of the Year
T.I. feat Young Jeezy, Young Dro, Big Kuntry and B.G. – Top Back (Remix)
UGK feat. Outkast – International Players Anthem
Young Jeezy – I Luv It
Game feat. Kanye West – Wouldn’t Get Far
Nobodyknows+ - Heroes Come Back!!
Common – The People
Kanye West feat. Daft Punk – Stronger
Daddy Yankee feat. Fergie – Impacto
Tha Winnah: UGK feat Outkast – International Players Anthem!
No question. TI, nobodyknows and Kanye were impressive but this video was AWESOME. No one can top seven non-consecutive weeks at number one. This was the jam of the summer and you know it. The video was great, especially Andre 3000 in the kilt. “I’m Black Irish!” Priceless. Now for the category you have been waiting for.

All these videos had great dancing but in the end, NaNa and Bi shone above the rest. Honorable mention to Namie Amuro. Namie with a whip may just be as hot and Bi upside down from a helicopter. MAY BE. Now for the fight of the year!

You know what? This wasn’t even close. Despite ABS being nominated and the Evanescence vs. Paramore dynamic, the anticipation I had for this video was unparalleled. I could NOT WAIT for this video and single and when it came I was blown away. SHOCKER! Those that know me know that I was all about this song earlier this year. Back when I was having my own personal pity party and all. Even still, this video was simple in it pain and I was all about it. Hell, I even know some of the words. If I could do this in karaoke….I would totally rule. We are moving onto the major awards!

Nobodyknows+ - Heroes Come Back!!
Tha Winnah: Namie Amuro – Baby Don’t Cry!
Another upset of Yui! How does Namie Amuro top Yui, nobodyknows and Aqua Timez? Simple: three weeks. That is how long it took this video to make it to number one. This video helped me through some pitiful ass times and you know what? It is just a very good video. Namie is hawt, the song is awesome and the video is simple. That’s why she wins. Speaking of love, which I am incapable of.
Romantic/Love Video of the Year

Mihimaru GT - Kakegae no nai Uta
J. Holiday – Bed

Tha Winnah: John Legend – PDA (We Just Don’t Care)!
John Legend takes one from Alicia! Although I LOVED “Kakegae no nai Uta” by Mihimaru GT, “PDA” once again symbolized a great time for me. It ended rather “meh” hence my love for UGK. This video is great and fits the song perfectly. It was actually a three horse race between John, Alicia and Mihimaru and John took the award. Next…ugh.

HELLS YEAH! Naruto over Bleach! Wait…what? Okay, this Spring and Summer I was ALL ABOUT THIS VIDEO! Aside from TI, no video got me more hyped up that this one! Back-On made a run and of course Aqua Timez and Yui got consideration but in the end it was all about the come back! 3-2-1 MAKE SOME NOISE!!! Now for a new category!
Best Video From A Motion Picture
Anthony Hamilton – Do You Feel Me? (American Gangster)
Yuna Ito – I’m Here (Unfair: The Movie)
Snow Patrol – Signal Fire (Spiderman 3)

Goo Goo Dolls – Before It’s Too Late (Transformers)
Yui – Understand (Sidecar ni Inu)
Tha Winnah: Yuna Ito – I’m Here (Unfair: The Movie)
NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE LOVE! Came so close, but so far. Yuni Ito by far had the best video from a movie this year not called “Hairspray”. That movie was a musical so that is kind of unfair. Speaking of Unfair, it wasn’t that bad of a movie. Oh, and did I mention that Yuna Ito is HAWT? Because she is. Hoawt, can sing and can dance? I love her so. We are down to the REAL BIG awards!
Group Video of the Year
Mihimaru GT – Gazen Yeah!
Maroon 5 – Makes Me Wonder
Aqua Timez – Alones
Nobodyknows+ - Hero’s Come Back
UGK feat. Outkast – International Players Anthem
Hearts Grow - Himawari
Abingdon Boys School – Howling
L`Arc~en~Ciel – SEVENTH HEAVEN
Tha Winnah: UGK feat Outkast – International Players Anthem!!
Despite the stiff competition , this one once again wasn’t even close. UGK dominated the summer and even though the other videos had impressive resumes….seven weeks. The best verse of the year (yes, better than Lil’ Wayne’s work) and the greatest cake wrestling match ever. Can anyone beat that? I think not. Now…the hawtest category in the history of the world!
Female Video of the Year
Yui – Rolling Star
Nelly Furtado – Say It Right
Yuna Ito – I’m Here
May J. – Here We Go
Alicia Keys – No One
Namie Amuro – Baby Don’t Cry
Yui – CHERRY
NaNa – Movin On
Tha Winnah: Nelly Furtado – Say It Right!!
YES! YES! OH MY GOD YES! There are no losers here. Every lady nominated had a great year and is so….so beautiful. In the end, when you capture the timeframe of each video and when it dominated, Nelly Furtado wins hands down. Second here would actually have to be Alicia Keys but in the end…”Say It Right” was one of my three favorite videos of the year and may be my favorite song hands down.
Male Video of the Year
Kanye West feat Daft Punk – Stronger
Daughtry – It’s Not Over
Bi – I’m Coming
TI feat Young Jeezy, Young Dro, Big Kuntry & BG – Top Back (Remix)
Justin Timberlake feat TI – My Love
Game feat Kanye West – Wouldn’t Get Far
Kanye West feat T-Pain – Good Life
John Legend – PDA (We Just Don’t Care)
Tha Winnah: John Legend – PDA (We Just Don’t Care)!
Kanye had three nominations here. TI had two nominations here. And in the end, the one that wins is the man with the fewest nominations of all the superstars! This video was the video of the Spring, when love had sprung. TI made a strong play and even forced a tie for a while! But in the end I had to do the same I did with the female category. John’s timeframe was more awesome than TI’s. We are down to one!
Video of the Year
Namie Amuro – Baby Don’t Cry
UGK feat Outkast – International Players Anthem
Yui – Rolling Star
Alicia Keys – No One
John Legend – P.D.A. (We Just Don’t Care)
Aqua Timez – Alones
TI feat Young Jeezy, Young Dro, Big Kuntry & BG – Top Back (Remix)
Nobodyknows+ - Hero’s Come Back!!
Maroon 5 – Makes Me Wonder
Nelly Furtado – Say It Right
Tha Winnah: UGK feat Outkast – International Players Anthem!!
All these videos were number one for at least three weeks. All these videos were on the Countdown for at least 12 weeks. All of these videos deserve but in the end only ONE was the champ. The King. The UNDERGROUND KINGS! UGK’s “International Players Anthem” may be one of the best videos ever made and I only toss that around about Bi because it is true. This video was everywhere and rightfully so. Seven weeks at the top and the Video of the Year Award? Pretty good year for UGK and Outkast! Congratulations!
Well, now that the Music Video Awards are over, let’s add up the awards!
UGK & Outkast – 3
John Legend – 2
Nelly Furtado – 2
Yui and Abingdon Boys School get shut out of the Video Awards?! Well, lets take a look at the total numbers!
Abingdon Boys School – 4 (11 nominations)
Alicia Keys – 4 (8 nominations)
John Legend – 3 (6 nominations)
UGK & Outkast – 3 (4 nominations)
Yui – 3 (15 nominations)
TI – 3 (12 nominations)
Nelly Furtado – 2 (3 nominations)
Namie Amuro – 2 (12 nominations)
So Abingdon Boys School and Alicia Keys had the most wins of 2007! Kanye West only won ONE AWARD out of his ELEVEN nominations but he finally won the big one: he has your Album of the Year! UGK went three-for-four while John Legend once again proved that he is the King of the Countdown…although TI may have something to say about that as he tied him this year after losing to him twice last year. It is official: Alicia Keys is the Queen of the Countdown and did more with less nominations than ABS. Yui got goose-egged in the Music Video Awards but still pulled out three wins including Artist of the Year which is well deserved. Congratulations to all the winners!
Well, the Chachi Music and Video Awards has passed for 2007 and I want to thank you for coming! Stay tuned for the Chachi Movie Awards nominees and Douchebrawl 2008 is coming! Until then, stay up peeps!
Chachi Out!

No question. TI, nobodyknows and Kanye were impressive but this video was AWESOME. No one can top seven non-consecutive weeks at number one. This was the jam of the summer and you know it. All these videos had great dancing but in the end, NaNa and Bi shone above the rest. Honorable mention to Namie Amuro. Namie with a whip may just be as hot and Bi upside down from a helicopter. MAY BE. Now for the fight of the year!

Takahashi Hitomi – Jet Boy, Jet Girl (Toward The Terra)
Tha Winnah: Nobodyknows+ - Hero’s Come Back!
Master Shake – Nude Love (ATHFCMFFT)
DJ OZMA – Lie, Lie, Lie (Naruto: Shippuuden the Movie)
Zac Efron – Ladies Choice (Hairspray)
Aqua Timez - Sen No Yoru Wo Koete (Bleach: The Movie)
Chachi Out!

Ladies Are Still First!
Due to circumstances beyond my control (heavy partying probably), the Chachi Top 20 Countdown will be delayed. Until…..now. Here we go, peeps! It’s time for the…
Chachi’s Top 20 Video Countdown!
We begin this week with a video that hasn’t equaled the success that was hoped for…
20. 2Backka + Bennie K – Home (Last Week #17)
So after a run in the Top 20, 2Backka looks on the verge of falling off. Good song, good video but not as hot as some of the other stuff. Yuki still looks good as hell, though. Now, onto the hawtness.
19. NaNa – SHOW GIRL (New Entry)
FUCK. YES. FUCK YES! NaNa is back and making my dreams a lot happier place! This video is officially the hawtest video out not by Alicia Keys. The dancing is awesome, the song is top notch and NaNa is FI-YI-YINE! I swear I love her. Give me an album RIGHT NOW!
18. L`Arc~en~Ciel – My Heart Draws A Dream (Last Week #15)
The Arc looks on the verge of falling off as well this week. They have a big night coming up on Sunday with 5 nominations for the Chachi’s. Let’s see if they can bring one home!
17. Abingdon Boys School – Blade Chord (Last Week #20)
Speaking of nominations, ABS is third with eleven nominations this year and they have a good chance to get at LEAST half of those. They are also starting 2008 off right with one of the hottest videos out right now from a kick ass game. Yeah…ABS rocks your world.
16. Sowelu, EXILE & DOBERMAN INC – 24 Karat (Last Week #13, One week at #1)
NEW SOWELU VIDEO! NEW EXILE VIDEO! MY GOD I LOVE BEING A TURTLE! Well, not really. Even still Sowelu is my baby boo. Too bad she is falling off quickly from the Countdown. Not only that, big ups to EXILE for nabbing seven Chachi nominations! Big year for them!
15. Paramore – CrushCrushCrush (Last Week #18)
So Paramore looks to achieve the success if not better than “Misery Business”. I must say I like this SONG more but I like the video for Misery Business a lot more. Just saying, although Hayley looks good in both.
14. Yui – Love & Truth (Last Week #10)
It is officially the Queen of the Countdown and now she is Queen of the Chachi’s! With a staggering FIFTEEN nominations total, Yui has the chance to be the biggest winner this year. That is almost double Alicia Keys nods, and I love her more than I love applesauce. There, I said it. Applesauce you have been replaced.
13. Nelly Furtado – Do It (Last Week #11)
Nelly falls two more spots this week and is looking to have a strong showing on Sunday despite half the nominations of last year with three. Even still, she had two of the biggest videos of the year and had the Album of the Year last year had it not been for John Legend. Good stuff!
12. Mihimaru GT – I SHOULD BE SO LUCKY (Last Week #14)
The hottest band out right now (and well deserved, they have been putting in work for years) moves up two more spots as they look for their second number one video! Mihimaru GT also worked their late year run into 7 nominations this Sunday! That is more than UVERworld and M-Flo combined. They are so lucky. No….they are so great!
11. Daughtry – Over You (Last Week #7)
After failing to make the Top 5, Daughtry falls out of the Top 10 this week. It is a shame because this is a good song but the video is “meh”. He also had a breakthrough year with six Chachi nominations. Also, Jordin Sparks FLOPPED BIG TIME. Told you so. We are in the Top 10!
10. Alicia Keys – Like You’ll Never See Me Again (Last Week #16, Biggest Mover)
We begin with (maybe?) the current Queen of the Countdown! Alicia’s newest video moves up a big six spots to give her two videos in the Top 10. She is the first artist to do so this year since Foxxi MisQ this summer. This min-movie is actually well done and not full of filler, either. Oh…and she looks damn fine even when she cries.
9. Kanye West feat. T-Pain - GoodLife (Last Week #4)
Kanye falls four spots this week and out of the Top Five. Kanye West has 11 nominations this Sunday and here is to hoping he shows up to the ceremony. You think he may have a tantrum? Kanye equals ratings, peeps!
8. One Republic feat. Timbaland – Too Late (Last Week #12)
One Republic (I hate the space) moves up into the Top 10 this week after a slow climb. I got the album and it is DAMN GOOD and sadly wasn’t nominated this year for the Chachi’s. Next year, most definitely they are totally in.
7. May J. – Do Tha, Do Tha (Last Week #9)
You know what? I got the single…just watch the video. And fall in love.
6. Asian Kung-Fu Generation – After Dark (Last Week #8)
Bleach is finally rocking my face! They just broke the wall in Hecho Mundo (spelling is off) so you know what that means. ASS-KICKING PARTY!!! Enough with that. Asian Kung Fu Generation is one spot away from the Top 5 this week! It’s a great time for a great band that has been rocking for years. Not only that, Bleach is shooting for their third straight #1 video from an opening theme (Yui and Aqua Times spent a total of 7 weeks at number one)!
5. Paramore – Misery Business (Last Week #3)
Paramore falls two more spots this week after peaking at number two weeks ago. With only two nominations this year, expect a big 2008 from this group. Just a heads up, they will be rocking your face.
4. Yuna Ito – Urban Mermaid (Last Week #6)
My god…I love you, Yuna. Miss Ito moves up two more spots to just outside the Top 3 and is looking for her second number one video of 2007! Yuna picked up six nominations this year at the Chachi’s which is good for only having one video in the Top 20. Keep in mind it is the longest running video ever which helps. We are down to three…
3. TI feat. AlfaMega & Busta Rhymes - Hurt (Last Week #5)
TI has officially tossed his name in as a front-runner for the Artist of the Year Chachi Award! This gives TI his third Top 3 video of 2007 and he looks for his second number one of the year and third overall. He is second with 12 nominations this year and he is the reigning owner of the Video of the Year from 2006 with “What You Know”. Can he Dominate 2007? We will see! Now for the shocker.
2. Alicia Keys – No One (Last Week #1, Five Weeks at #1)
After five dominant weeks at number one, Alicia Keys sexy grip has finally been broken! She falls this week to number two and despite having two videos in the Top Ten, she still got knocked the heck out. Even with eight nominations this Sunday, she could have been the reigning Queen. So who will go into the weekend as the Chachi Championship Series number one?
1. NaNa – Movin’ On (Last Week #2, One Week at #1)
After a nine week journey, NaNa finally reaches the top! All I can say is it’s about time! With two videos on the Countdown and three nominations for this ONE VIDEO she has had a strong last quarter of 2007. This video is awesome and she is damn fine! Congrats to NaNa!
That is all for this weeks Countdown! Find out next Friday if she can make it two weeks in a row! Or will Alicia take back her throne? Or can TI hurt the Countdown for a third time and take the crown for the King? See you next Friday!
Tune in on Sunday to see who takes home the most Chachi’s! It’s sushi tomorrow night and if it doesn’t shit on Denver I am heading up there. Until Sunday, stay up peeps.
Chachi Out!

Waiting Is Half The Fun!
What is up, people?! It is a chilly ass Sunday and once again, I have returned! I am going back to work tomorrow which means that I will hopefully have another blog up to tell you how it was. Until then, I give to you the final set of nominees for the Chachi Music & Video Awards!!
Music Videos
Best Collaborative Video
UGK feat Outkast – International Players Anthem
May J feat M-Flo – Here We Go
Kanye West feat. T-Pain – Good Life
Daddy Yankee feat Fergie - Impacto
T.I. feat Young Dro, Young Jeezy, Big Kuntry & B.G. – Top Back (Remix)
Kanye West feat Daft Punk – Stronger
Justin Timberlake feat T.I. – My Love
Sowelu, EXILE & DOBERMAN INC – 24 Karats
One of many new categories for 2007. The range of the nods go from reggaeton to hip hop to j-pop so you know this will be tough. The star power of UGK and Outkast is hard to beat, but the dark horse is Sowelu, EXILE & DOBERMAN INC. All need to take note: this is how you do a collabo!
Pop Video of the Year
Daughtry – It’s Not Over
Mihimaru GT – Gazen Yeah!
Avril Lavigne – Boyfriend
Yui – CHE.R.RY
Maroon 5 – Makes Me Wonder
Namie Amuro – Baby Don’t Cry
Nelly Furtado – Say It Right
Yui – Rolling Star
Bi – I’m Coming (Rain Is Coming)
Bi is back, baby! My Korean bishie hawtie had one of the best videos of 2006 and it carried over to 2007! Yui, Nelly and Namie have the inside track due to the chart success but the dark horse is Maroon 5. They quietly had a big year and could come away with this one.
Rap/Hip Hop Video of the Year
T.I. feat Young Jeezy, Young Dro, Big Kuntry and B.G. – Top Back (Remix)
UGK feat. Outkast – International Players Anthem
Young Jeezy – I Luv It
Game feat. Kanye West – Wouldn’t Get Far
Nobodyknows+ - Heroes Come Back!!
Common – The People
Kanye West feat. Daft Punk – Stronger
Daddy Yankee feat. Fergie – Impacto
This is an interesting and top heavy category. UGK, TI and nobodyknows+ look to be the ones to beat but Game had a pretty good year with three Top three videos. Kanye had the biggest year album-wise while Common, Young Jeezy and Daddy Yankee all did their parts to save hip hop. Because of that, this is a tight category.
Best Dance Video (Choreography)
Kumi Koda – Get Up & Move!
Justin Timberlake feat. T.I. – My Love
Yuna Ito – I’m Here
Namie Amuro – Hide & Seek
Chris Brown feat. T-Pain – Kiss Kiss
Bi – I’m Coming
Mihimaru GT – Gazen Yeah!
Hinoi Team – Dancin’ and Dreamin’
NaNa – Movin’ On
Bi vs. J-Tim vs. Chris Breezy? Namie vs. Kumi? Nana vs Yuna? My god this is the greatest category EVER! All these videos had kickass dancing and you really cant say there is a leader for this award. Look out for Mihimaru GT! I love me some Hiroko. Let us not forget about HINOI TEAM! Where in the hell is Korikki?!
R&B Video of the Year
John Legend – P.D.A. (We Just Don’t Care)
Justin Timberlake feat. T.I. – My Love
Alicia Keys – No One
NaNa – Movin On
Sowelu, EXILE, DOBERMAN INC – 24 Karat
J. Holiday - Bed
Bi – I’m Coming
EXILE – Lovers Again
Omarion – Ice Box
This is pretty much Alicia Keys vs. John Legend. That in itself is worth the price of admission!
Breakthrough Video of the Year
Halcali – Look
Gackt - RETURNER ~Yami no Shuuen~
Mario – How Can I Breathe
L`Arc~en~Ciel – SEVENTH HEAVEN
Bi – I’m Coming
UVERworld - Endscape
Yui – Rolling Star
RBD (Rebelde) – Ser O Parecer
Mario gets one of his many nods for 2007. Sue me, I like the guy. GACKT HAS SEXIED UP THE CM&VA’S! Gackt vs. Hyde vs. Bi?! Good googly moogly! Let us not forget about the hotness that is RBD, either. Gimmie some of that Anahi!
Rock Video of the Year
UVERworld – Zero No Kotae
L`Arc~en~Ciel – SEVENTH HEAVEN
Daughtry – It’s Not Over
Aqua Timez – Alones
Paramore – Misery Business
Evanescence – Lithium
Abingdon Boys School - Howling
Maximum the Hormone – What’s Up, People?!
Very interesting. This looks like Aqua Timez’s category to lose but The Arc and Paramore have something to say about that. Also, Daughtry snuck in with a late entry so lets see if he can pull this one out. Evanescence is nominated for their second straight year and Max The Hormone is nominated for the first time ever.
Sad Video of the Year
Alicia Keys – Never See Me Again
EXILE – Lovers Again
Mario – How Do I Breathe
Dragon Ash – Yume De Aetara
Seamo – Cry Baby
Yui – Understand
Aqua Timez - Sen No Yoru Wo Koete
Angela Aki – Kiss Me Goodbye
Dragon Ash gets a nod! One of my faves (who I wanted to nominate for album of the year but it was a compilation) finally gets in! The dark horse is Seamo. He came a long way from annoying me on Bennie K’s “Love Story” to having a kick ass album. Don’t rule out Aqua Timez or Mario from this one, they both had really sad videos.
J-Pop Video of the Year
Sowelu, EXILE, DOBERMAN INC – 24 Karat
Yui – Rolling Star
Aqua Timez - Alones
Namie Amuro – Baby Don’t Cry
Yuna Ito – I’m Here
Mihimaru GT – Gazen Yeah!
Abingdon Boys School - Howling
L’Arc~en~Ciel – SEVENTH HEAVEN
Nobodyknows+ - Heroes Come Back!!
Now THIS is a battle. There really isn’t a front runner in this category with everyone able to claim a shot at the award. The front runner looks to be Abingdon Boys School on the merit of their sheer number of nominations. Yui has had the best year while Aqua Timez and nobodyknows+ were at the top the longest. TOUGH CATEGORY!
Romantic/Love Video of the Year
Alicia Keys – Never See Me Again
Namie Amuro – Baby Don’t Cry
May J. – Dear…
Robin Thicke – Can You Believe
John Legend – PDA (We just Don’t Care)
Mihimaru GT - Kakegae no nai Uta
J. Holiday – Bed
Elliott Yamin – Wait For You
Oooooohhhhh, love is in the air! In video form to boot! This is between John Legend and Namie Amuro for the most part, as both were ringtones this year for ladies in my life that proceeded to make me crazy. But hey, that’s love. Mihimaru GT and J. Holiday are dark horses while Robin Thicke didn’t annoy me as much as I led on to in blogs earlier this year.
Worst Video of the Year
50 Cent – I Get Money
Zeebra – Stop Playin’ A Wall
USDA – White Girl
Kumi Koda - But
Green Day & U2 – The Saints Are Coming
Leah Dizon – L.O.V.E. U
Beyonce – Upgrade U
Chris Brown – Wall To Wall
Ugh….all these videos bit the big one. Now Zeebra I like, but this video was ass. Bono just sucks more than anything or anyone in history. Wall To Wall was STUPID and Beyonce can go to hell with her crappy ass songs and even crappier videos. Leah Dizon is fine as hell but this video was STUPID and she cannot dance. And then there is 50 Cent….I loathe him so. Check the blogs and you will see why. Kumi Koda is nominated because But was a bad video in a year where she had some good stuff.
Best Video From An Anime
Aqua Timez – Alones (Bleach)
HOME MADE KAZOKU - Nagareboshi ~Shooting Star~ (Naruto: Shippuuden)
Abingdon Boys School – Howling (Darker Than Black)
Nami Tamaki – Brightdown (D-Gray Man)
Nobodyknows+ - Hero’s Come Back! (Naruto: Shippuuden)
Yui – Rolling Star (Bleach)
Hearts Grow – Himawari (Powerpuff Girls Z)
Back-On – Blaze Line (Eyeshield 21)
Takahashi Hitomi – Jet Boy, Jet Girl (Toward The Terra)
FINALLY! An excuse to nominate Back-On! I LOVED “Chain” from Air Gear but it came out in 2006 so this is kind of a fix for that. Aqua Times, Yui and nobodyknows+ are the front runners for this award but look out for Abingdon Boys School and Hearts Grow! Takahashi Hitomi had a kick ass song for Toward the Terra and I like a lot of Nami Tamaki’s work. She came close to a Best Dance Video nomination for this video, too.
Best Video From A Motion Picture
Anthony Hamilton – Do You Feel Me? (American Gangster)
Yuna Ito – I’m Here (Unfair: The Movie)
Snow Patrol – Signal Fire (Spiderman 3)
Master Shake – Nude Love (ATHFCMFFT)
DJ OZMA – Lie, Lie, Lie (Naruto: Shippuuden the Movie)
Zac Efron – Ladies Choice (Hairspray)
Aqua Timez - Sen No Yoru Wo Koete (Bleach: The Movie)
Goo Goo Dolls – Before It’s Too Late (Transformers)
Yui – Understand (Sidecar ni Inu)
Kind of a hard category to fill since soundtracks have fallen to the wayside over the last 5 years. Even still, this looks like Master Shake’s category. Yuna Ito has a shot, but Nude Love is the greatest song to be composed by a cup of milkshake since “Take Me Home Tonight” by Eddie Money. Little known fact: Eddie Money was comprised solely of Strawberry shake. Look out for my bishie Zac Efron!
Group Video of the Year
Mihimaru GT – Gazen Yeah!
Maroon 5 – Makes Me Wonder
Aqua Timez – Alones
Nobodyknows+ - Hero’s Come Back
UGK feat. Outkast – International Players Anthem
Hearts Grow - Himawari
Abingdon Boys School – Howling
L`Arc~en~Ciel – SEVENTH HEAVEN
Wow. All of these videos hit number two or higher on the Countdown and six of them hit number one for at least a week. UGK looks to have it on lock but ABS had an overall bigger year and Paramore has came on strong at the end of the year. Dark horse has to be Maroon 5 because they DOMINATED the spring of 2007.
Female Video of the Year
Yui – Rolling Star
Nelly Furtado – Say It Right
Yuna Ito – I’m Here
May J. – Here We Go
Alicia Keys – No One
Namie Amuro – Baby Don’t Cry
Yui – CHERRY
NaNa – Movin On
My god…I just came a little. If I could just meet ONE of these women I would die happy. All these videos went to number one except two (May J. and NaNa) and May J. is second all time for the longest running video and NaNa is currently number two on the Countdown. Even though Yui, Alicia, Nelly and Namie were at the top the longest don’t count anyone out! This is about the awesomeness of the video, not the length on the Countdown. With that being said, look out for Yuna! I love her so.
Male Video of the Year
Kanye West feat Daft Punk – Stronger
Daughtry – It’s Not Over
Bi – I’m Coming
TI feat Young Jeezy, Young Dro, Big Kuntry & BG – Top Back (Remix)
Justin Timberlake feat TI – My Love
Game feat Kanye West – Wouldn’t Get Far
Kanye West feat T-Pain – Good Life
John Legend – PDA (We Just Don’t Care)
Now this is a battle for your ass! Kanye has two THREE nominations in this category but the front runners are John Legend and TI (who has two nods himself). The dark horse is Daughtry, who had a big boost from my love for American Idol (Don’t ask why, just go with it) this spring. Also, look out for Bi. He had three videos on the Countdown (a record that may never be broken) in December of 2006 and that led to an AWESOME start of 2007. Look out for J-Tim, too!
Video of the Year
Namie Amuro – Baby Don’t Cry
UGK feat Outkast – International Players Anthem
Yui – Rolling Star
Alicia Keys – No One
John Legend – P.D.A. (We Just Don’t Care)
Aqua Timez – Alones
TI feat Young Jeezy, Young Dro, Big Kuntry & BG – Top Back (Remix)
Nobodyknows+ - Hero’s Come Back!!
Maroon 5 – Makes Me Wonder
Nelly Furtado – Say It Right
The BIG ENCHILADA! Last years winner was John Legend and he is nominated again. TI makes a return for Video of the Year as well with everyone else being new nominees. UGK had the longest running video, so they look to be the favorite. The dark horse in this category is Nelly Furtado. As Jen and Rick can tell you, I was all about some “Say It Right” even though…I didn’t know the damn words. Also look out for Alicia Keys because…she is fricking hot.
Well, the count for the most nominations goes as follows:
Yui – 9
TI – 8
Kanye West – 7
Aqua Timez & Namie Amuro – 6
Alicia Keys, Bi (Rain), EXILE, nobodyknows & Mihimaru GT – 5
Abingdon Boys School, John Legend, L`Arc~en~Ciel, UGK, Justin Timberlake & Yuna Ito – 4
Chris Brown, Daughtry, Maroon 5, May J, Sowelu, NaNa & Nelly Furtado – 3
Kumi Koda, Mario, Hearts Grow, UVERworld, M-Flo, Game & T-Pain (WTF?!) – 2
Damn, I TOLD YOU Yui was running 2007! TI is close with 8 nominations while Kanye pulls down seven nominations. Last year’s nomination leader UVERworld had a down year but still pulled down two nominations…the same as T-Pain. Yeah, that will NEVER happen again. That means the combined nominations for the Chachi Video and Music Award count goes:
Yui – 15 (9 video, 6 music)
Namie Amuro – 12 (6 video, 6 music) & TI – 12 (8 video, 4 music) [TIE]
Abingdon Boys School – 11 (4 video, 7 music) & Kanye West – 11 (7 video, 4 music) [TIE]
Aqua Timez -10 (6 video, 4 music)
Alicia Keys – 8 (5 video, 3 music)
EXILE – 7 (5 video, 2 music)
Mihimaru GT – 7 (5 video, 2 music)
Nobodyknows – 7 (5 video, 2 music)
Daughtry – 6 (3 video, 3 music)
John Legend – 6 (4 video, 2 music)
L’Arc~en~Ciel – 6 (4 video, 2 music)
Yuna Ito – 6 (4 video, 2 music)
WOW! Yui has FIFTEEN NOMINATIONS?! Mindblowing stuff there! TI, Abingdon Boys School, Namie Amuro, Kanye West and Aqua Timez all crack double digits to dominate the CM&VA’s for 2007. Alicia Keys album just came out and she already has EIGHT NOMINATIONS! Now that it hawt.
Well, you have all of the nominees! The winners will be announced next Sunday night, 12/2/2007! Your votes are appreciated and NEEDED so let me know your choices and I will take all votes into account! No electoral college here! Well, kind of. Until then, stay up peeps!

Music Videos
Best Collaborative Video
UGK feat Outkast – International Players Anthem
May J feat M-Flo – Here We Go
Kanye West feat. T-Pain – Good Life
Daddy Yankee feat Fergie - Impacto
T.I. feat Young Dro, Young Jeezy, Big Kuntry & B.G. – Top Back (Remix)
Kanye West feat Daft Punk – Stronger
Justin Timberlake feat T.I. – My Love
Sowelu, EXILE & DOBERMAN INC – 24 Karats
One of many new categories for 2007. The range of the nods go from reggaeton to hip hop to j-pop so you know this will be tough. The star power of UGK and Outkast is hard to beat, but the dark horse is Sowelu, EXILE & DOBERMAN INC. All need to take note: this is how you do a collabo!
Pop Video of the Year
Daughtry – It’s Not Over
Mihimaru GT – Gazen Yeah!
Avril Lavigne – Boyfriend
Yui – CHE.R.RY
Maroon 5 – Makes Me Wonder
Namie Amuro – Baby Don’t Cry
Nelly Furtado – Say It Right
Yui – Rolling Star
Bi – I’m Coming (Rain Is Coming)
Bi is back, baby! My Korean bishie hawtie had one of the best videos of 2006 and it carried over to 2007! Yui, Nelly and Namie have the inside track due to the chart success but the dark horse is Maroon 5. They quietly had a big year and could come away with this one.
Rap/Hip Hop Video of the Year
T.I. feat Young Jeezy, Young Dro, Big Kuntry and B.G. – Top Back (Remix)
UGK feat. Outkast – International Players Anthem
Young Jeezy – I Luv It
Game feat. Kanye West – Wouldn’t Get Far
Nobodyknows+ - Heroes Come Back!!
Common – The People
Kanye West feat. Daft Punk – Stronger
Daddy Yankee feat. Fergie – Impacto
This is an interesting and top heavy category. UGK, TI and nobodyknows+ look to be the ones to beat but Game had a pretty good year with three Top three videos. Kanye had the biggest year album-wise while Common, Young Jeezy and Daddy Yankee all did their parts to save hip hop. Because of that, this is a tight category.
Best Dance Video (Choreography)
Kumi Koda – Get Up & Move!
Justin Timberlake feat. T.I. – My Love
Yuna Ito – I’m Here
Namie Amuro – Hide & Seek
Chris Brown feat. T-Pain – Kiss Kiss
Bi – I’m Coming
Mihimaru GT – Gazen Yeah!
Hinoi Team – Dancin’ and Dreamin’
NaNa – Movin’ On
Bi vs. J-Tim vs. Chris Breezy? Namie vs. Kumi? Nana vs Yuna? My god this is the greatest category EVER! All these videos had kickass dancing and you really cant say there is a leader for this award. Look out for Mihimaru GT! I love me some Hiroko. Let us not forget about HINOI TEAM! Where in the hell is Korikki?!
R&B Video of the Year
John Legend – P.D.A. (We Just Don’t Care)
Justin Timberlake feat. T.I. – My Love
Alicia Keys – No One
NaNa – Movin On
Sowelu, EXILE, DOBERMAN INC – 24 Karat
J. Holiday - Bed
Bi – I’m Coming
EXILE – Lovers Again
Omarion – Ice Box
This is pretty much Alicia Keys vs. John Legend. That in itself is worth the price of admission!
Breakthrough Video of the Year
Halcali – Look
Gackt - RETURNER ~Yami no Shuuen~
Mario – How Can I Breathe
L`Arc~en~Ciel – SEVENTH HEAVEN
Bi – I’m Coming
UVERworld - Endscape
Yui – Rolling Star
RBD (Rebelde) – Ser O Parecer
Mario gets one of his many nods for 2007. Sue me, I like the guy. GACKT HAS SEXIED UP THE CM&VA’S! Gackt vs. Hyde vs. Bi?! Good googly moogly! Let us not forget about the hotness that is RBD, either. Gimmie some of that Anahi!
Rock Video of the Year
UVERworld – Zero No Kotae
L`Arc~en~Ciel – SEVENTH HEAVEN
Daughtry – It’s Not Over
Aqua Timez – Alones
Paramore – Misery Business
Evanescence – Lithium
Abingdon Boys School - Howling
Maximum the Hormone – What’s Up, People?!
Very interesting. This looks like Aqua Timez’s category to lose but The Arc and Paramore have something to say about that. Also, Daughtry snuck in with a late entry so lets see if he can pull this one out. Evanescence is nominated for their second straight year and Max The Hormone is nominated for the first time ever.
Sad Video of the Year
Alicia Keys – Never See Me Again
EXILE – Lovers Again
Mario – How Do I Breathe
Dragon Ash – Yume De Aetara
Seamo – Cry Baby
Yui – Understand
Aqua Timez - Sen No Yoru Wo Koete
Angela Aki – Kiss Me Goodbye
Dragon Ash gets a nod! One of my faves (who I wanted to nominate for album of the year but it was a compilation) finally gets in! The dark horse is Seamo. He came a long way from annoying me on Bennie K’s “Love Story” to having a kick ass album. Don’t rule out Aqua Timez or Mario from this one, they both had really sad videos.
J-Pop Video of the Year
Sowelu, EXILE, DOBERMAN INC – 24 Karat
Yui – Rolling Star
Aqua Timez - Alones
Namie Amuro – Baby Don’t Cry
Yuna Ito – I’m Here
Mihimaru GT – Gazen Yeah!
Abingdon Boys School - Howling
L’Arc~en~Ciel – SEVENTH HEAVEN
Nobodyknows+ - Heroes Come Back!!
Now THIS is a battle. There really isn’t a front runner in this category with everyone able to claim a shot at the award. The front runner looks to be Abingdon Boys School on the merit of their sheer number of nominations. Yui has had the best year while Aqua Timez and nobodyknows+ were at the top the longest. TOUGH CATEGORY!
Romantic/Love Video of the Year
Alicia Keys – Never See Me Again
Namie Amuro – Baby Don’t Cry
May J. – Dear…
Robin Thicke – Can You Believe
John Legend – PDA (We just Don’t Care)
Mihimaru GT - Kakegae no nai Uta
J. Holiday – Bed
Elliott Yamin – Wait For You
Oooooohhhhh, love is in the air! In video form to boot! This is between John Legend and Namie Amuro for the most part, as both were ringtones this year for ladies in my life that proceeded to make me crazy. But hey, that’s love. Mihimaru GT and J. Holiday are dark horses while Robin Thicke didn’t annoy me as much as I led on to in blogs earlier this year.
Worst Video of the Year
50 Cent – I Get Money
Zeebra – Stop Playin’ A Wall
USDA – White Girl
Kumi Koda - But
Green Day & U2 – The Saints Are Coming
Leah Dizon – L.O.V.E. U
Beyonce – Upgrade U
Chris Brown – Wall To Wall
Ugh….all these videos bit the big one. Now Zeebra I like, but this video was ass. Bono just sucks more than anything or anyone in history. Wall To Wall was STUPID and Beyonce can go to hell with her crappy ass songs and even crappier videos. Leah Dizon is fine as hell but this video was STUPID and she cannot dance. And then there is 50 Cent….I loathe him so. Check the blogs and you will see why. Kumi Koda is nominated because But was a bad video in a year where she had some good stuff.
Best Video From An Anime
Aqua Timez – Alones (Bleach)
HOME MADE KAZOKU - Nagareboshi ~Shooting Star~ (Naruto: Shippuuden)
Abingdon Boys School – Howling (Darker Than Black)
Nami Tamaki – Brightdown (D-Gray Man)
Nobodyknows+ - Hero’s Come Back! (Naruto: Shippuuden)
Yui – Rolling Star (Bleach)
Hearts Grow – Himawari (Powerpuff Girls Z)
Back-On – Blaze Line (Eyeshield 21)
Takahashi Hitomi – Jet Boy, Jet Girl (Toward The Terra)
FINALLY! An excuse to nominate Back-On! I LOVED “Chain” from Air Gear but it came out in 2006 so this is kind of a fix for that. Aqua Times, Yui and nobodyknows+ are the front runners for this award but look out for Abingdon Boys School and Hearts Grow! Takahashi Hitomi had a kick ass song for Toward the Terra and I like a lot of Nami Tamaki’s work. She came close to a Best Dance Video nomination for this video, too.
Best Video From A Motion Picture
Anthony Hamilton – Do You Feel Me? (American Gangster)
Yuna Ito – I’m Here (Unfair: The Movie)
Snow Patrol – Signal Fire (Spiderman 3)
Master Shake – Nude Love (ATHFCMFFT)
DJ OZMA – Lie, Lie, Lie (Naruto: Shippuuden the Movie)
Zac Efron – Ladies Choice (Hairspray)
Aqua Timez - Sen No Yoru Wo Koete (Bleach: The Movie)
Goo Goo Dolls – Before It’s Too Late (Transformers)
Yui – Understand (Sidecar ni Inu)
Kind of a hard category to fill since soundtracks have fallen to the wayside over the last 5 years. Even still, this looks like Master Shake’s category. Yuna Ito has a shot, but Nude Love is the greatest song to be composed by a cup of milkshake since “Take Me Home Tonight” by Eddie Money. Little known fact: Eddie Money was comprised solely of Strawberry shake. Look out for my bishie Zac Efron!
Group Video of the Year
Mihimaru GT – Gazen Yeah!
