Morning, peeps. First things first: GO SEE ICE AGE: THE MELTDOWN. That movie kicked ass. Fun for adults, kids AND the Irish. And marvel at the pain which is Garfield 2. Who greenlights this crap?
Secondly, Kingdom Hearts 2 was kicking ass until the Tron level. Aside from the fact I didn't like Tron (anyone who can tell me the plot without confusing themselves gets a Chic-Fil-A sam) the level is a WHACK ASS DRIVING LEVEL. Minus the driving, it's all command prompts. However, the Pirates and Agrabah levels were cool. And you get Stitch as a summon! Beat that! So far, I still recommend this game. At least until the inevitable Cloud vs. Sephiroth fight that I would have to agree does NOT belong in this game.
So, a little more about the Duke 'scandal'. You know, I'm just gonna say it: even if members of the lacrosse team didn't assault the girl, the events leading up to it are just as stupid and they need to be taken to task for them. Spraypainting racial epithets and insulting blacks in FRONT OF NEIGHBORS is just plain ignorant. You know, I always figured private school kids to be hippies like at CC. By the way, I was surprised by the amount of hippies there, just seemed to be counter-productive to have private school hippies. Complaining about the world while listening to 'Come On People Now (Drive Hybrid Cars Now)' on their Video ipod while eating an organic bagel just seems out of place there.
Back to the point, I think that people will say that just because someone was (allegedly) sexually assaulted in the lacrosse players house doesn't mean they were at fault or involved. Now that is true, but SOMEONE should have had the brains to say 'Having a stripper at the house of scholarship athletes in this day and age might not be a good fucking idea.' With all the issues with other major universities athletic programs (mostly public but with better sports programs) a move like this was just plain ignorant. You don't move into the line of fire, even if you are sporting a vest. It's easier to err on the side of safe and NOT have the party. Just common sense, but as we have seen with celebrities and athletes lately, money doesnt equal intelligence.
This has little to do with anything, but do you know who has always pissed me off? Hot Rod from the Transformers. Anyone remember what the dipshit did in the movie?
