Man, this week has been hectic. A little rough too. But eh, that's life. How have the peeps been? Anxiously awaiting my return? Probably not, seeing as no one visits here anyway. But for those that are back, I do miss you all. And man do I have some crap to go over.
First off, I went in for an interview and took the Wonderlic test. This is the test that they give NFL draft candidates to test their ability for rationalizing problems and thinking on their feet. I took the ACT and SAT prep tests and I understood the argument about bias. Not racially biased, but socially and class biased. Here is an example of one of the questions:
INGENIOUS and INGENUOUS. Are these words:
1) the same in meaning
2) opposite in meaning
3) neither the same or opposite in meaning
No shit. This is one of the actual questions. All I could say was 'hooba jooba wha?' What in the hell does this have to do with aptitude or skill? It has to do with how extensive your vocabulary is. Not really much else. And my all time favorite:
Q. In printing an article of 48,000 words, a printer decides to use two sizes of type. Using the larger type, a printed page contains 1,800 words. Using smaller type, a page contains 2,400 words. The article is allotted 21 full pages in a magazine. How many pages must be in smaller type?
What? What does this test really? Not a goddamn thing. Standardized testing is bullshit and I know why kids hate them. Hell, I hated the ITBS test (Iowa Test of Basic Skills, depending on who you ask) although I did rather well. Standard testing with situational questions like these are like algebra: you really don't ever use it, and when you do you dont know it. Besides, when was the last time someone used the Pythagorean theorem at King Soopers? What did all that math get THAT person. Not a damn thing. Testing should be relevant to what YOU ARE TESTING FOR. Standardized testing is assuming everyone has been taught the same skills and has acquired the same knowledge. I went to a public school and I know that shit ant legit. These tests are based on knowing words, structure and problems that sadly a lot of people havent been taught. Aside from Duke students (who are also adept at being racist, elitist pricks) almost no one knows this stuff. Oddly enough. Online I took the test a second time (with different and harder fucking questions) and I got a 42. Out of 50. I had to have cheated. You know who that makes me smarter than?

USA! USA! I'm trying to find the link for the test I took, but here is one to test out yourself. See how well you do.
Aint that 'bout a bitch? Kind of a stupid test IMHO. Second time on that link I got 6 (so a 33 give or take) so I ain't all that smart.
So back to Kingdom Hearts 2. I REALLY hate Tron. That level sucked like Karrine Steffans (oooohhhh, I am the insult master!) and was actually supposedly near the end of the game. So I got my ASS handled in the boss fight. I left that and went to Halloween Town. After that, its off to the Pride Land (Lion King, fools!) and who knows after that. Still worth the money, though.
Man, Jackie Guerrido.....wow. I have seen her on other blogs and armageddonrld agrees. If the armageddon ever comeforecastnt her to deliver the forcast. I havent looked forward to the news this much since Ann Curry did the NBC morning news back when I was in high school. Mmmmm....
